My Week 3 Picks

Here are my week 3 picks

#1 Richlands at PV - (I pick Richlands by 10) - Should be one of the better tests Richlands gets this year IMO Richlands Offence is a shadow of last years but the D MAY be better and PV has been beating up on CMD teams but has yet to hit there stride if they hit it this week it may have the folks in BSG talking state championship again

#2 Coeburn at Pound - (Coeburn by 7) - Coeburn pl ayes its 2nd LPD team in 3 weeks and picks up a win to move to 2-0......Crabtrees disaplane will pay off in the long run but times will be tough this season

#3 Kelly at Burton - (Burton by 30) - Kelly is much improved and if they can play disciplined D and keep Burton from breaking the long TDs Kelly may be able to stay in this game (for awhile).........However Burton has to many weapons and will find a weak point on Kellys D and work on it till they get there points

#4 Clintwood at Appy - (Clintwood by 14) - Appy is a better team than they showed last week vs Norton.....this week they will do EXACTLY what they did last year and go back to Old Appy football and try to beat Clintwoods head in then hit Ireson outside when they start stacking the middle IMHO Clintwood is a better team this season and will do a better job on D (at least that is my hope [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img] )

Guess I'll have to try to match wits with you Counts.

Richlands-PV - I'm going to go with you on this one, picking Richlands. Vikings will find a way to score on Richlands, but not sure that they are able to do it enough and stop them enough. Richlands by 13.

Coebun-Pound - Coeburn has a few nice skill pieces. Looks to be a decent QB, a heck of a tightend, and a beast of a fullback. If Bright comes to play, Coeburn wins somewhat easy. Coeburn by 20.

Kelly-Burton -The paper summed it up perfectly. If Kelly can keep the ball moving, they can stay in the game. Against Nortons defense, that is no easy task. I think Kelly gets buzzed by 21.

Clintwood-Appy. Scares me. Appy is better than it sounded like last week. Watched some of the game and for awhile they executed well, it just was difficult to get and stay up for a team that butchered you in the playoffs. I fully expect this to be a close game, and I'm going to say that being played in Appy hurts Clintwood. Clintwoods O and D lines decide the game. Clintwood by 3.
